Acetaia Sereni Limonceto — Natural Lemon White Balsamic Vinegar | Light, Bright & Citrus-Forward | 8.45oz
Acetaia Sereni Limonceto is a white balsamic vinegar condiment naturally infused with Sicilian lemon — bright, citrusy, and refreshing. Made from white grape must at the Sereni family estate in Marano sul Panaro, Modena, using traditional barrel-aging methods. The result is a light-colored condiment with genuine balsamic depth and a clean lemon lift: all the versatility of white balsamic, with a citrus character that works on everything from seafood to fruit salads.
Acetaia Sereni has been producing balsamic vinegar in Modena since the early 20th century — a fourth-generation family estate with balsamic barrels dating to the late 19th century. Pier Luigi Sereni was a founding member of the Consortium for the Protection of Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Modena. The entire production chain takes place on the estate from owned vineyards to bottling, at 300 metres above sea level in the Modena hills.
Limonceto vs Ariston Lemon Balsamic — which to choose
Both are lemon balsamic condiments, and both are worth having. The difference is the base and the weight. Limonceto uses a white balsamic base — lighter, more delicate, clean brightness that won't darken a dish. Ariston uses an aged dark balsamic base — richer, more complex, bolder lemon character with more body. Use Limonceto when you want summer brightness: seafood, pale proteins, light salads, fruit. Use Ariston when you want autumn depth: grain salads, roasted vegetables, mezze, marinades.
How to use it
- Grilled and baked fish — the definitive pairing; drizzle over salmon, sea bass, swordfish, or shrimp before or after cooking
- Light salads — whisk with Sparta Gourmet EVOO for a bright, clean vinaigrette that won't discolor delicate greens
- Chicken marinades — bright acidity without dark color
- Fresh cheese boards — over mozzarella, ricotta, or fresh goat cheese
- Fruit — peaches, strawberries, melon, or figs
- Greek yogurt — a few drops with honey and walnuts
- Cucumber and tomato — a Greek salad alternative with citrus lift
- Vanilla panna cotta — a few drops as a finishing drizzle

Frequently Asked Questions
-
What is the difference between Limonceto and Ariston Lemon Balsamic?
Limonceto uses a white balsamic base — lighter, brighter, clean citrus, won't darken dishes. Ariston uses an aged dark balsamic base — richer, more complex, bolder lemon. Use Limonceto for summer-light applications (seafood, pale salads, fruit). Use Ariston for autumn-rich applications (grain salads, roasted vegetables, mezze). -
Is the lemon flavoring natural?
Yes — natural Sicilian lemon infusion into white balsamic. No artificial flavoring or additives. -
Why white balsamic and not dark?
White balsamic delivers balsamic sweetness and gentle acidity without darkening a dish. It's the correct base for citrus applications where color matters — seafood, pale proteins, light salads, and fruit presentations. -
What does Acetaia Sereni's PGI certification mean?
Pier Luigi Sereni was a founding member of the Consortium for the Protection of Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Modena — the body that established the EU's PDO and PGI certification standards for Modena balsamic. Sereni products are certified to the origin and method standards the family helped write.

My favorite olive oil.
I love Greek Oregano the fragrance is outstanding and I use it in almost everything I cook from Salads to Pasta and so much more
Fantastic! A big reminder of the Tavernas we visited in Greece. Highly recommend! It’s the real deal.
Great creamy feta! Wished there was a 2lb container
Incredibly reasonably price! Quality oil, and the time was taken to wrap and double wrap the cans for protection during shipping! Highly recommend!
I loved this cheese! To the point that I never liked any cheese at all (41 years) of hating all cheese. But once I tried it it opened my world to cheeses again.
Thought I was back in Crete. Absolutely incredible.
